Every child needs a place where they can learn to spread their wings and the space to grow in a loving, supportive environment… this is where Wings comes in.
The seed for Wings was planted six years ago as a home school for Greg, a nine-year-old boy with Down syndrome. He thrived on the one-on-one attention of a dedicated teacher, Susan Mussmann, who is still teaching the group today. Yes, the group!
Wings literally lived up to its name and took flight under the skilled stewardship of its staff and teachers. Having moved to a bigger, more suitable premises, the home school for one special boy has evolved into a class that welcomes and accommodates children with different syndromes, developmental delays and learning disabilities.
